Hi, I’m Maisie, the heart and soul behind Mais Nails, right here in the bustling Goodsheds of Barry.

My journey into nail art started with a simple gift during lockdown – a set of gel polishes and a UV lamp. Little did I know, it would spark my love for nail art and lead to me running my very own salon.

Experimenting with designs and colours, I turned my passion into a craft. My friends loved my nail art so much, I started doing theirs, and before I knew it, word got around Barry like wildfire. My parents’ converted garage became a mini-salon – it’s where I laid the foundation for what Mais Nails is today.

Balancing studies in music and performing arts plus a part-time job as a carer whilst simultaneously building my nails business means I’m no stranger to hard work but it’s all been worth it. As a proud Welsh speaker, I love that I can offer a warm ‘croeso’ to both English and Welsh speakers alike.

Goodsheds has been my go-to spot for ages, and it just made sense to open Mais Nails here. It’s got the vibe – lively and full of friendly faces. For me, it’s not just about nails; it’s about the feeling you get hanging out in your favourite spot, where the team knows you, and you’re guaranteed a good chinwag and a laugh.

Fully trained in Cardiff and skilled in the latest nail techniques, from BIAB to gel, I’m all about giving you top-quality nail care. Mais Nails isn’t just a salon; it’s a place where you can chill, have a laugh, and leave feeling a million dollars.
